The most frequently used Wireless LAN standard worldwide, WLAN 802.11b, is utilized by the GC79. It gives you the best possible performance. In public hotspots, such as airport lounges, offices or other areas where Wireless LAN networks are available, the GC79 provides speeds of up to 11 Mbps.
The GC79 also provides the fastest GPRS/HSCSD access available - 56.7 kbps.
Global access
The GC79 is a triple band PC Card. Using GPRS/HSCSD provides the broadest possible coverage on all five continents. As a Wi-Fi PC Card, it also provides the best available coverage on WLANs around the globe. The GC79 allows you to easily select between WLAN and GPRS/HSCSD, depending on what is available.

GC79 Software
On the CD-ROM that comes with your GC79 PC Card, you will find the drivers you need and the GC79 Manager application. With the user-friendly interface of the GC79 Manager, you'll be up and running in no time.
GC79 Manager
Whether you have chosen a WLAN or GPRS/HSCSD connection, the GC79 Manager gives you the status of the communication. You can also use the GC79 Manager to set up new connections, edit your phonebook and send and receive SMS.
